In case you missed my previous blog posts, I made a goal for 2015 to get caught up on editing all of the pictures that weren’t for clients. Things like personal images, weddings I second shot, pictures from workshops, etc. And as it turns out, I shot a whole bunch of stuff last year that I never ended up sharing with you all, so that’s changing now! It might take a whole bunch of “Throwback Thursdays” (and probably a few Mondays and Tuesdays too… you know, whenever I feel like sharing really) to get caught up and share everything with you. But I promise it’s all coming your way SOON! I’m going to fill you in on my 2014 adventures; it was a crazy whirlwind of a year, and I loved every minute of it.
That being said, next up in my 2014 throwbacks is the ReImagine Workshop I attended last May with Jacilyn M, Photographer! If you follow my blog at all, you know that I love Jackie. She was my own wedding photographer, my business mentor, we second shot a bunch of weddings together last summer, and through it all, I’m so thankful to call her my friend too! So when Jackie announced that she was hosting a workshop in Missoula last year, I jumped on it. Because when Jackie teaches, you listen. And you soak it all up. I’ve learned SO much from her over the last few years. And this workshop was no different! She invited us all into her home and we got cozy in her living room as she spent all day pouring knowledge and encouragement into us. I could talk about the workshop for hours, even though almost a year has past. But one thing Jackie said has stuck with me since then: Don’t be afraid to get personal. Your brand should reflect who you are, authentically. I’m sure that’s not a direct quote, but it’s the version that made it into my notebook that I’ve re-read a hundred times. Getting personal is HARD friends. But I’m working on it. This year I promise to open up more with you; to share the good, the bad, and the ugly. The grand adventures and the simple moments. To stop hiding behind who I think I should be, and just get real. Big changes are coming this year, and it’s all going to be awesome.
So without further adieu, here are the images I shot at the ReImagine Workshop last year in Missoula, MT!
And of course, here are some behind the scenes shots from our day with Jackie! Clearly, we had no fun
