Sara & Brandon

MEET US

We are a husband & wife photography team based in Montana, specializing in weddings for romantic and adventurous couples. We’re passionate about marriage, adventure, and dreaming BIG! When we’re not shooting weddings you can find us exploring in the mountains, traveling to new cities, binge watching our favorite shows on Netflix, or hanging out with our overly energetic dog!

Personal

In our personal posts you can expect to find stories of our life, travels, adventures, wishes, hopes, dreams, and some open letters written to each other. We want to share about our own marriage, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Along with being open about our biggest goals and aspirations, greatest fears and struggles, and encourage you to keep pursuing your own version of success.

Brandon, Today we celebrate your life, we celebrate YOU! Twenty-four years ago your adventure started. You've spent twenty-four years chasing life with a reckless abandon, dreaming big, daring greatly. And I'll never forget that evening in late August, six years ago, when the boy in the green bandana would walk into my life, and life as I knew it would be changed forever. I’ll never forget locking eyes with you across that room; I’d never seen green eyes shine so brightly. And then you smiled, and I melted. I’ve felt that way every day since, and I could never began to describe how thankful I am to call you mine! You're the one who pushes me towards better things, who reminds me to never give up, who laughs with me, dreams with me, and adventures with me. The one who believes in me, even when I forget to believe in myself.…

We're not your typical or average family. We're not all bonded by DNA. We all have unique stories, and we all come from some very different places. But what we are connected with is love, and a whole lot of it! One big, crazy family who would do anything for each other.  Some of you may not know my whole story, and today isn't the day I'm going to share it all (maybe one day!), but I'll give you the short version. When I was four my parents started doing foster care, and overnight our family changed and grew. And it never really stopped. Over the last 20+ years my parents have opened their doors and hearts to over 100 kiddos, mostly girls, and mostly teenagers. (Yes, you read that right!). There are a million crazy and hilarious stories packed into those years. Countless amazing memories, and some we'd probably all like to…

Yesterday you got to see our 2014 trip to Glacier National Park, messy hair and all, but today you get to see the BEST part of that trip: Our Glacier National Park session with Jacilyn M, Photographer! On our final day in Glacier last summer Jackie drove up to meet us. I'd wanted pictures of Brandon and I in Glacier for awhile, and Jackie was the only person for the task! We started on the East side and made our way West, stopping where ever Jackie suggested. We laughed, acted ridiculous, sang along with almost every song, and Brandon sat in the backseat shaking his head at our craziness. Naturally.  We had the best time, even when Jackie was bordering on giving me a heart attack by getting a little TOO close to giant cliffs, or having Brandon and I crawl out onto slippery rocks in the middle of a cascade. But I'm SO glad…

There are few things that get our hearts racing like the site of big, beautiful mountains. They're our happy place. Our home. We wake up to the site of mountains out our window every day, and even though we LOVE to travel anywhere and everywhere we can, we also love coming home to the mountains just as much.  Earlier this month we traveled to the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and as we stood there trying to take in it's vast beauty we decided that while it was beautiful we would take Glacier National Park over it any day! And as it just so happens, we're off to Glacier again this weekend! We're headed up there for a weekend of camping, exploring, and hiking with some friends, along with an engagement session and two couples sessions! We are SO excited to get back up there for a…

LIFE. CHANGING. Those are the only words I can really come up with to explain our trip to Arizona. A few months ago I shared with you about WHY we were going to Arizona, and why I was so excited about it, if you missed that you can check it out here! Okay, now that you're caught up on the reason we decided to venture to the desert in the middle of summer, I'm SO excited to tell you all about it! Friends, I'll be really honest here: the photography industry is packed with a lot of useless things to spend your money on. I've invested thousands of dollars over the years on things that simply weren't worthwhile, with a few amazing things sprinkled in here and there. Because of that reason, regardless of how much I hoped and prayed that in person coaching with Amy & Jordan would be everything I dreamed it would be,…
