Sara & Brandon

MEET US

We are a husband & wife photography team based in Montana, specializing in weddings for romantic and adventurous couples. We’re passionate about marriage, adventure, and dreaming BIG! When we’re not shooting weddings you can find us exploring in the mountains, traveling to new cities, binge watching our favorite shows on Netflix, or hanging out with our overly energetic dog!

Personal

In our personal posts you can expect to find stories of our life, travels, adventures, wishes, hopes, dreams, and some open letters written to each other. We want to share about our own marriage, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Along with being open about our biggest goals and aspirations, greatest fears and struggles, and encourage you to keep pursuing your own version of success.

Yesterday we shared all about our crazy summer that led to us cancelling our long planned anniversary trip to Banff National Park in Canada, just 48 hours before we were planning on leaving, and trading it for two plane tickets to an all inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico! You can read about that HERE. Now of course we were sad about not going to Banff; we'd been planning that trip all year. But due to the summer's events, it just no longer made sense. I was still on crutches, and hiking through beautiful Canada would not be an option. So Brandon being the hero he is came up with a new plan, just 48 hours before our trip.  It was a whirlwind of a weekend as we prepared for our trip, but once we landed in Mexico and arrived at our resort, all the stress of our summer had faded away.…

You see that guy above? I just need to take a minute to tell you how AMAZING he is. I could sit here for hours and tell you about all the things he does behind the scenes. About all the ways he goes above and beyond, mostly without recognition. On wedding days he is the one who keeps me on track, who reminds me of all the things I can't forget, who runs and grabs all the items I do forget, who hangs dresses on things far out of my reach, who carries our heavy gear around, who keeps track of our photo list and makes sure we don't miss any shots, who keeps me motivated and hydrated (equally important!), who stands behind me making silly faces and funny noises to make kiddos smile during family photos, and who keeps me laughing all day long. But this wedding season was different. This wedding…

Three weekends ago we were in Glacier National Park, and two weekends ago we continued our national park adventures by spending our last free weekend before our crazy wedding season travelling through Yellowstone National Park and down into Grand Teton National Park!  We knew this wedding season was going to be challenging. Our schedule for the next two months is fuller than it's ever been. We've got back to back weddings for the next 8 weeks, so while the idea of sitting at home on our last "free" weekend was appealing, we just couldn't bring ourselves to let a precious weekend go to waste! So Brandon made a reservation at a hotel in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and we decided it was about time we finally saw the Tetons in person! We've been meaning to for so long, but had just never made it down there.  We flew through Yellowstone; we've already seen…

One of my favorite things about being married to Brandon is that we both have this deep rooted sense of wanderlust. We LOVE traveling to new places, seeing new things, and turning any opportunity possible into an adventure. Because of that, we travel as often as we possibly can. But there's one place we go that we hold above the rest and keep returning to... the place that captured our hearts from the first moment we saw it.... the place that makes our souls swell with love and excitement.... Glacier National Park!  Last weekend we made the drive up to Glacier to meet with one of our sweet 2016 couples for their engagement session (lots from their session coming next week!), and we had such a great time! In fact, it might be one of my favorite trips to Glacier yet. Why you ask? Well, mostly because half of the park was…

Brandon, It’s been three years since we promised each other a lifetime of love and adventure together. Three years. It seems like a lifetime ago, but I know this is only the beginning. Three years ago we were babies; clueless about the future, about what all was to come, but full of excitement and hope. Looking back, I can’t even begin to fathom how much we’ve learned over the last three years, and how much we still have left to figure out. About marriage, about each other, about finances, about communicating, about arguing, about everything. If I could go back to the morning of our wedding and write you a letter, knowing what I know now, this is what I’d say:   My Love, Today is the beginning. The start of a beautiful, and sometimes challenging, journey. Later today I will stand across from you and promise to love you…
