It’s no secret that we love weddings, but even more than that, we LOVE marriage! It’s why we chose to specialize in weddings & engagements. There are few things we love more than watching our couples begin their own marriage journeys, and getting to share in those special moments with them. A beautiful bride in white, a dashing groom who can’t stop smiling, promises of endless adventures together; we just can’t get enough of those moments! But as the old saying goes: “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite.” So, we thought it was about time to finally share OUR STORY with all of you!
If you missed a previous part of our story, check it out first below!
Less than two weeks would pass from the night they met before Brandon would ask Sara to officially be his girlfriend, at 12:34am (queueing Sara’s ongoing love for the Plain White T’s song: 1, 2, 3, 4). Within that first month they shared in celebration of both of their birthday’s, and I think they would both agree that the best presents they got that year was each other. From that first night on they didn’t spend a single day apart. Every second of every day was filled with thoughts of the other, counting down the minutes until they could hang out again.
It wasn’t long before they realized that they shared a love for Nintendo 64 games; specifically Mario Kart. They spent hours and hours dueling on those race tracks; they knew their way around Koopa Troopa Beach and Rainbow Road like the back of their hands (but it’s no secret… nobody really likes Rainbow Road). Sara was always Yoshi; Brandon didn’t even get a say in that matter. They spent their evenings laughing non-stop as they threw banana peels and turtle shells at the other. Sara was the better player and won almost all of the time (or so she’ll tell you!).
However, Mario Kart was quickly kicked to the curb at the discovery of LOST! From episode 1, they were both hooked. They quickly fell in love with Charlie and Hurley, and couldn’t finish episodes fast enough to find out more about all of their favorite characters and see what was going to happen on that crazy island! 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. Hours of sleep were lost to watch just one more episode, but let’s be honest, it was impossible to watch just one more. They finished the first 5 seasons in the 3 ½ months that the final season was airing; catching up just in time to watch the series finale live.
These were the early days. The beginning. The silly nights filled with laugher and new memories. And scattered between the Nintendo duels and the Netflix binges were countess little things that were making the two of them fall a little deeper and deeper into the feelings consuming their hearts and minds.
Check back next week for Part 3: Friday Night Lights!
