“Team work makes the dream work!”
That’s what Morgan said as her and Alec were cutting their cake. And oh, what a team these two make! I still remember the first phone conversation I had with Morgan, and I’m pretty sure I’ve loved her since then. She is the absolute sweetest girl.
Before their big day, I drove up to Missoula for a coffee date to meet Morgan and her hubby, Alec. Yes, they were already married before this wedding. They were madly in love, and just didn’t want to wait to be Mr & Mrs - so they tied the knot last August, but still wanted to celebrate with their friends and family. And that’s exactly what they did! Their big day was full of celebration, happiness, and love. They had a morning ceremony, followed by a delicious brunch, and lots of quality time with the people they loved. It was such a laid back and perfect day!
Morgan and Alec also decided to celebrate their heritage by having a Scottish / Irish wedding. Until this day, I had absolutely no idea how stunning plaid could be! Seriously, just take a look below and see for yourself
I’ve never witnessed a bride have SO much fun getting ready for her wedding! Morgan was so happy and lighthearted. She spent the morning with a smile plastered on her face, dancing around the room - and of course, her flower girl was happy to join!
Now, let’s take a minute to drool over their gorgeous details. I may or may not have almost stolen her flats ;)
Morgan and Alec opted for a ‘First Look’ on their wedding day, and I’m soo glad they did!
I understand some couples desire to keep things traditional and not see each other before their ceremony, but these images completely sum up why I believe every couple should opt for a First Look. It’s such an amazing opportunity to truly soak up every single second of that first sight of the person you love. There isn’t a room full of people watching, it’s just you and your other half. And the look on Morgan’s face as she looked at Alec for the first time was so priceless. There was no doubt that the beautiful girl in the white dress was head over heels in love with the handsome man in a kilt!
Everything about their day was perfect. Laughter was a constant, and love was most definitely in the air. It was such an honor to witness Morgan and Alec’s beautiful wedding! When Morgan and her father were walking down the aisle, led by her brother playing the bagpipes, I got serious goosebumps. Between the bagpipes, the beautiful venue at the Gibson Mansion, and love that was palpable, it was just breathtaking. Then during their ceremony Morgan removed her family tartan, and Alec’s grandmother passed him the McNeill family tartan to wrap around his wife, symbolizing her joining their family. Seriously, Scottish / Irish weddings are so unique and amazing!
Morgan and Alec, I can't thank you enough for letting Brandon and I be a part of your wedding day. I just love both of you to pieces, and wish you a lifetime of happiness and adventure together!
