“As with any journey, who you travel with can be more important than your destination.”

We almost rescheduled their session. Matt was sure that the cloudy day would ruin our chance at great photos, but I was optimistic. The mountains were calling, despite the clouds. So we loaded into my car, hit up City Brew, and decided to go on a cloudy day adventure.

We’d been talking about their session for a few months, but we were waiting for fall colors. I think it’s safe to say that we were not disappointed. Mother Nature showed up in a big way! Matt & Taylor had never been up to Hyalite before, so I knew that’s where I had to take them. Over the last few years Hyalite has become my husband and I’s favorite place around here. We spent most of our summer exploring, hiking, and getting lost in the vast beauty that is the Gallatin National Forrest. I have sooo many favorite places in Hyalite that it was extremely hard to narrow down the places I wanted to take them. Needless to say, we ended up making lots of stops along our journey to the reservoir. Matt & Taylor were such naturals! They were seriously a dream couple to shoot. The way Matt looks at Taylor makes my heart melt, and when Taylor laughs her whole face lights up in that contagious way that everyone near her has to laugh too. These two share a special kind of love, and I was so happy that they chose me to capture a small piece of it.

Matt & Taylor, your journey is just beginning, and I wish you nothing short of a lifetime filled with adventure and laughter. CHEERS!
