This is one of those weddings I'm struggling to find the words for because I just have SO much to say! Kelly and Forrest are some of our very favorite people and we spent all year excited about their wedding! When Kelly first emailed me she described their wedding as a "progressive adventure" and that is exactly how their day turned out! Brandon and I drove up to Glacier the night before the wedding,  and let me just say that tent camping at six months pregnant was quite the adventure itself! We were greeted by thick smoke as we drove into Glacier, thanks to the fire that was raging on the opposite side of the park, and we just prayed for some mountain views come wedding day. We got an extra early start the morning of their wedding, rising before the sun to meet the girls at the Many Glacier Hotel where they were getting ready. The ladies were all giggles as they relaxed and got ready for the adventure ahead. Once they were ready Kelly had the sweetest First Look with her dad, followed by the First Look with her husband-to-be that was all smiles. To our surprise, the wind picked up and the mountains came out for just a few moments while we took a few bride and groom portraits! After that everyone boarded the boat for a ride across Swiftcurrent Lake, followed by a short hike to the shore of Lake Josephine where Kelly and Forrest exchanged their vows surrounded by their closest family and friends, including guests that traveled overseas just to celebrate their love! After they said I Do they took another boat ride around Lake Josephine before repeating the trek back to the Many Glacier Hotel. They then joined their guests for a picnic in the woods, complete with toasts that had everyone laughing and tearing up all at once. We ended the day roaming around the nearby area for more bride and groom photos in the mountains. The smoke was still thick, but it created the most stunning backdrop of faded mountains as the wind picked up Kelly's dress and made it dance. It was absolutely amazing! Forrest and Kelly put so much thought and work into their perfect wedding adventure. Forrest made the wooden ring box by hand, they special ordered things like the ties, bowties, and suspenders with intricate details of mountains and trees. They made huckleberry jam for all of their guests and passed out bear bells so everybody could hike and explore safely. Kelly was the most relaxed and go-with-the-flow bride we've ever met; not caring at all when the wind picked up nearly blowing us over and sweeping our hair every which direction. She's the bride who saw a horse and decided photos with it would make her day perfect, so we sweet talked our way into borrowing it for a minute and a few kisses. Basically, Kelly and Forrest threw tradition and "supposed to" to the wind and created a perfect wedding day for them, which is something we wish more people would do! It was incredible, and did I mention we saw both a moose and a black bear?! Because... extra incredible!! I could keep talking for days, but instead just take a look for yourself!
