MEET US

We are a husband & wife photography team based in Montana, specializing in weddings for romantic and adventurous couples. We’re passionate about marriage, adventure, and dreaming BIG! When we’re not shooting weddings you can find us exploring in the mountains, traveling to new cities, binge watching our favorite shows on Netflix, or hanging out with our overly energetic dog!

“As with any journey, who you travel with can be more important than your destination.” We almost rescheduled their session. Matt was sure that the cloudy day would ruin our chance at great photos, but I was optimistic. The mountains were calling, despite the clouds. So we loaded into my car, hit up City Brew, and decided to go on a cloudy day adventure. We’d been talking about their session for a few months, but we were waiting for fall colors. I think it’s safe to say that we were not disappointed. Mother Nature showed up in a big way! Matt & Taylor had never been up to Hyalite before, so I knew that’s where I had to take them. Over the last few years Hyalite has become my husband and I’s favorite place around here. We spent most of our summer exploring, hiking, and getting lost in the vast…

We met in college, we were both photography majors, and we clicked instantly. Genna shared my sense of humor. She didn’t roll her eyes when I got overly excited about gorgeous golden sunshine. She would gladly stay up through all hours of the night finishing photo assignments with me. And she made me food. DELICIOUS FOOD. Let me clarify, moving out of my parent’s house and into the dorms in a different state wasn’t all that scary. I loved being on my own for the most part. But every single day I missed my mom’s cooking. Nobody could make my favorite dishes like my momma. But then Genna invited me over for dinner. And right then and there I knew we’d be friends forever! Just kidding of course, I loved her for soooo many other reasons too. But oh my, can this girl cook! If it weren’t for her I…

I wasn’t lying when I said that Austin could rock any hat he put on. Seriously, four different hats during his session! However, I have to say the baseball one was my favorite - but I may be a little biased since it’s my favorite sport  [wink]  And from what I hear, this kid has SERIOUS talent on the field. When Austin’s sweet mom Angie asked me if we could do part of his session at a baseball field, I happily agreed! After all, diamonds really are a girl’s best friend - I mean, I did plan my entire honeymoon and first anniversary trip around the Yankee’s schedule. Plus, I found out that Austin is a Yankees fan too. Instant friends! And on top of all of that, Austin is graduating from my old high school (GO FALCONS!). Basically what I’m saying is: this entire session was packed full of…

I’ve spent hours trying to decide what to say about this wedding. But where do you even start when you’ve known the groom since the day you were born? Our moms have been best friends since they were in third grade, so it was only natural that Jenson was one of my first best friends as well. Growing up, our families did everything together: from summer BBQ’s and camping trips at the lake, to a crazy week in Vegas when we got a bit older. Some of the best memories I have growing up were spent with the Sannon family, they were just part of the crazy extended family! And then along came Marcie. They dated for 7 years, and throughout that time I got the chance to meet Marcie a handful of times. I got to witness Jenson’s mom light up telling my mom all about the girl her…

Earlier this month Brandon and I took a road trip to Seattle and Portland to celebrate our first anniversary as Mr & Mrs! We had the BEST time, but more to come on our whole vacation later… today I wanted to share a little bit about one of our annual traditions, and the beautiful thing that resulted from it! Three years ago I realized that we had a ton of snapshots from the beginning of our relationship, but not many recent ones. I had a lot of pictures of Brandon; after all, he was my primary test subject and second shooter, but there weren’t many pictures that I loved of the two of us together - other than the glorified selfies  [wink]  It was then that we decided to have a portrait session done of the two of us at least once every year. Conveniently enough, we had gotten engaged that year and needed…
