Sara & Brandon

MEET US

We are a husband & wife photography team based in Montana, specializing in weddings for romantic and adventurous couples. We’re passionate about marriage, adventure, and dreaming BIG! When we’re not shooting weddings you can find us exploring in the mountains, traveling to new cities, binge watching our favorite shows on Netflix, or hanging out with our overly energetic dog!

In just three days Brandon and I are hopping on a plane to California, and we are beyond excited! San Francisco, wine country, the ocean, and two of our best friends, Tiffani & Adam. I promise to share our trip with you the week after we return, but in keeping up with my promise to catch you up on all of last years adventures too, I thought this was a good time to share our 2014 road trip to Portland and Seattle! Last summer we chose to venture to Seattle for our first wedding anniversary, and since we were going to be so close to some of our best friends, Tiffani and Adam, we decided a detour to Portland was a must as well. We started our trip by stopping in Spokane for a night to see Brandon's grandma, and then we hit the road for Portland to see Tiffani and Adam for…

Brandon, Two Years. Can you believe it? It sure doesn’t feel like that long to me. It seems like just yesterday I was walking down the aisle on my daddy’s arm, and you were standing at the end with the biggest smile on your face. Time moves fast, too fast, and somedays I just want to slow it down and savor all of the little moments with you. Looking back over the last two years of marriage, and over the last six years of knowing you, brings tears to my eyes. We’ve shared SO many amazing memories. Our first year of marriage was a great one, but I think our second one has been even greater. We’ve ventured to new cities, we’ve climbed new mountains, we’ve put our feet in the ocean, and we’ve dreamed big. Plus, we brought another fur-baby home, to the home that we OWN! It still…

With summer right around the corner, we’re gearing up for another season spent in the mountains; so I figured now was a good time to share the story of our final hike from the end of last summer! 2014 was our first season of actually hiking, and we fell in LOVE with it! There’s just something indescribable about being in the mountains, completely cut off from the world. No cell service. No obligations. No timelines. Just fresh air and lots of conversation. And waterfalls. We’re waterfall junkies. Throughout last summer we went on lots of short hikes, and a few that challenged us. But all summer long Brandon had been talking about how much he wanted to hike Hyalite Lake - a gorgeous trail that passed 11 waterfalls. The catch - it was 11 miles round trip, almost three times longer than any hike we’d done up to that point.…

“He proposed on the way to my mother’s house for dinner, under the gazebo at the Hideaway in Four Corners. Friends were hiding in the bushes taking photos, my sister unintentionally crashed, and the dogs were running around. It was perfectly chaotic.” When I read Katie’s description of Joel’s proposal a few months back I instantly got crazy excited to work with these two! PERFECTLY CHAOTIC – there’s just something about that phrase that I love, and totally get. Friends. Dogs. Laughs. Love. It was only natural that all those things play a part in their engagement session too! I met Katie and Joel at Bridger Bowl to kick off their session. She skis, he boards, and they wanted snow in their pictures - I couldn’t think of a better place. They showed up with their two fur-babies in tow, plus their friend/roomie, Lena, and her pup to help wrangle the…

Up next in my recap of the 2014 weddings I second shot with Jacilyn M, Photographer is AMANDA & TYLER! Oh my, where to begin with these two? Seriously. This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been too. Hands down. 15 1/2 hours of laughs and good times. Amanda and Tyler tied the knot at one of my favorite venues, Montana Wildflower Weddings in Red Lodge, and then they hopped on some Harley’s and headed to Billings for their reception! I have lots more to say about these two, but it seems appropriate to explain as you go, so keep on scrolling down
